All of the Grenache for this wine was sourced from Dry Grown Bush Vines. 50% of the fruit came from an 80-year old vineyard planted in Blewitt Springs, a cooler, deep-sanded sub-region of McLaren Vale and renown for producing more elegant structured and perfumed wines. The other 50% came from a 45-year old vineyard in McLaren Vale propper. This fruit has a more robust structure, deeper color and an earthier bouquet that is synonymous with McLaren Vale.
