Winemaker Ant Moore was raised in the Hunter Valley. He studied Wine Science at University before taking on winemaking positions in key Australian regions as well as in the state of Oregon. He was then drawn to New Zealand, accepting the role of Winemaker for Isabel Estate in Marlborough for 2 years. Moore has now developed his own 70 acres of vineyard in Marlborough with the establishment of Catalina Sounds. His property is located on a ridge overlooking the Waihopai Valley and is affectionately known as ‘Ants nest.” Epicurean Wines has been looking to add a New Zealand property for a long time but hadn’t found the right fit. Ant Moore has same level of talent and passion that we have discovered in Australia.
